Grok AI is Undressing Everyone Without Consent
Grok AI is undressing users against their will. xAi is turning a blind eye.
xAi's Grok, the AI chatbot behind x.com, is undressing anyone it's asked to do so, including minors. Users are reporting that sexualized pictures of them are being edited by Grok into bikini pictures and other sexual depictions. Grok seems to be doing this without tagging or notifying the victims.
In a BBC interview one user said she felt "dehumanized and reduced into a sexual stereotype" after Grok was used to remove her clothing.
I myself have seen posts by Grok doing this to women using the platform. While browsing X I noted users making joking posts about visiting Grok's media tab on the chatbot's profile, where all of these AI created images appear.
Clare McGlynn, a law professor at Durham University, said "The platform has been allowing the creation and distribution of these images for months without taking any action and we have yet to see any challenge by regulators"
When xAi was asked about this the only response was "legacy media lies". This statement actually angered me. This situation has nothing to do with legacy media. The images are clearly posted by the chatbot for anyone to see. Any human being with half a brain can see that it is clear abuse by their AI.
Users of the platform are speaking out against Grok and people using it to create these images.
Its insane that @grok is allowed to sexually harass people by making them undress without consent, this is highly illegal and unethical and everyone engaging with it is a loser

To make matters worse, it's been reported that Grok has even done this to minors.
One user asked Grok what ages it estimates the children are its victimizing, its response said as young as 1 year old.
When asked what should be done about this, Grok replied that it should be reported to the FBI:
For reporting suspected AI-generated CSAM, contact the FBI at https://t.co/EGLrhFD3U6 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at https://t.co/nHHDq2N0sB. The U.S. Department of Justice oversees related prosecutions under laws like the ENFORCE…

* apparently it is being used to non consenually undress children too at this point. So an even bigger issue than I thought it was.

The Chatbot seems to be the only voice of reason at xAi when asked about what it was doing. Saying it's a lapse in safeguards. Unfortunately, Grok is just a piece of software and can't change its own programming to stop this abuse.
No human spokesperson has made a statement to my knowledge. It seems very unlikely Elon Musk is going to do or say anything about this.
He has even made posts that seem to mock the situation.
Not sure why, but I couldn’t stop laughing about this one 🤣🤣 https://t.co/5r2JjOuuse

As of writing this post, the abuse appears to continue. I didn't witness any minors being abused on the platform, from what I could tell, while researching this, but I did see posts about people actively reporting the accounts that are posting the pictures.
This isn't the first time Grok has been in the negative spotlight, earlier this year the chatbot was spouting hate speech to users.
It seems like every week, there is a new controversy around an AI platform. Whether it's privacy concerns, hate speech, or sexual abuse, the technology seems to constantly be having mishaps. I think as long as AI exists, and humans have control over it, these problems will persist.
